Co-Founder & Board Member

John Mumber is a co-founder and on the Board of Directors for the DOwn South Cancer Foundation. John first attended Samford and Gordon State Junior college as a collegiate basketball player and received his associates degree in General Studies from Gordon State and bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science from Auburn university. He is currently a second year medical student working towards becoming a physician at the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine— Auburn Campus, with the goal to make the greatest impact in his community as possible.

Born in Rome, Georgia, John spent years watching his father, a Radiation Oncologist, successfully operate a nonforprofit organization that provides cancer patients with support from the community. This experience, alongside discussions with Dylan Ledbetter on how to make a lasting impact on the Auburn Community was the birth of the idea for DOwn South Cancer Foundation.

Working in conjunction with Dylan, John formed the DOwn South Cancer Foundation with the mission of providing affordable care to patients suffering from a highly burdensome disease. He believes the great community of Auburn can come together to offer fantastic relief and support efforts for those afflicted with cancer.

Co-Founder & Board Member

Dylan Ledbetter is a co-founder of the DOwn South Cancer Foundation. An Auburn, AL native, Dylan attended Auburn University, where he majored in Biomedical Sciences. He is currently pursuing his aspirations of becoming a physician at the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine – Auburn Campus, with a goal to serve the Auburn-Opelika area.

Outside of his academic pursuits, Dylan enjoys spending time with friends and family and exploring the outdoors. Having grown up hunting and fishing, he is passionate about promoting wildlife conservation and agriculture management.

Together with John, Dylan formed the DOwn South Cancer Foundation with the mission of providing affordable care to patients suffering from a highly burdensome disease. He believes in offering a helping hand to people in their times of need and looks forward to making a significant impact in the future.
